Sitting in the airport right now getting ready to board our flight to London! I cannot believe today is the day. I have been waiting with so much anticipation (also they just came over the intercom to say that boarding would be delayed because there is no staff for the plane yet. They're still at the hotel. HA!) So I am so glad the day is finally here and all of my anxieties and worries seem to have gone away for now. God has been working on my heart to prepare me for this day. He has been loving me and breaking me in preparation for being vulnerable and open to my teammates and the people we meet in Vienna. I am seeing my sin and my idols and where I am not trusting the Lord.
This summer is going to be hard. It is going to be fun. And it is going to change me. I want to come out the other end of this summer being dependent on God in a way that I wouldn't be before. I want to have a soft heart to the things he wants to teach me. And I want to love my neighbor well even in the midst of conflict and frustration.
Please pray for me as I continue to work towards this, as I continue to open up my life to my teammates, and as I continue to lay down my life at the foot of the cross.
